Date: 8 Sep 2026
Released by: U.S. Department of State

## Original release

On behalf of the United States of America, I extend warm wishes to the people of Andorra as they celebrate their patron saint, Our Lady of Meritxell. The United States values Andorra as a steadfast friend that shares our commitment to national sovereignty and a secure, prosperous future for its citizens. The United States is proud of the momentum built over the past year in our relationship with the Principality of Andorra, particularly Andorra’s continued collaboration with American technology companies to strengthen its digital infrastructure and financial sector security. We look forward to building on this foundation in the coming year, expanding opportunities for U.S. businesses and investment. As the people of Andorra celebrate this important day, the United States reaffirms its partnership with the Principality and extends our warmest regards to the Andorran people in the year ahead.
