AirTrunk signed a partnership and memorandum of understanding with Sydney deep-tech firm Emergence Quantum to bring cryogenic cooling into next-generation data centres. The companies say cryo-cooling can raise silicon chip speed and energy efficiency, cut cooling-water demand, and support gigawatt-scale storage for intermittent renewables, with possible carbon-capture uses. AirTrunk will host Emergence Quantum researchers at its facilities as the partners move from laboratory work toward commercial deployment.

Flexential Secures $800 Million to Fund Data Center Development Across Four Markets
Flexential established an $800 million credit facility to fund more than 130 MW of new data center capacity across four U.S. markets. Projects under construction include 36 MW in Atlanta-Douglasville, Georgia; 36 MW in Portland-Hillsboro, Oregon; and 22.5 MW in Denver-Parker, Colorado, with further Hillsboro and Atlanta-Norcross capacity planned. The oversubscribed facility was backed by an 11-bank syndicate and equity sponsors GI Partners and MSIP.
