Voyage AI introduced rerank-3 and rerank-3-lite, the next generation of its text rerankers for search and retrieval-augmented generation. Rerankers reorder embedding-retrieved candidates so the most relevant documents rank first; the new models improve on rerank-2.5 on quality and latency. Both variants are available through the Voyage API, with rerank-3-lite aimed at lower-cost deployments.
